Microsoft has filed for a new trademark which hints that interactive advertising could be coming to the Xbox 360 through the new Kinect sensor.
The trademark, which was spotted by TechCrunch
, is called NUAds and would allow users to interact with adverts directly.
'Advertising services, namely, promoting and marketing the goods and services of others through online interactive video games by enabling consumers to interact with third-party advertising content through voice or body gestures via computer game console and sensor devices,
' reads the filing.
Microsoft has made now official announcement regarding the filing, so it's possible that Microsoft could merely be attempting to protect itself and may not be intending to expand in that direction.
